Se Carraro fosse soltanto onesto nella rappresentazione, come è stato pure riconosciuto, potremmo riservargli tutta la nostra stima ma senza appassionarci troppo ai suoi romanzi, che invece sono appassionanti (Filippo La Porta). Dal romanzo, pubblicato dalla casa editrice Theoria nel 1994, è stato tratto un film diretto da Marco Risi.
